Structural Characteristics of Hydraulic Valve Blocks

Understanding the structure of a hydraulic valve block is essential for appreciating its functionality and versatility.
Material Composition: Hydraulic valve blocks are typically made from aluminum, malleable cast iron, steel, or brass, depending on the application requirements. Aluminum is favored for lightweight and corrosion resistance, while steel and cast iron offer superior strength for high-pressure environments.
Design and Shape: Most valve blocks have a rectangular shape with a network of drilled holes forming internal oil circuits. These holes include installation holes, oil holes, threaded holes, and positioning pin holes, creating a crisscross channel system that connects various valves and external pipelines.
Hole Types: The holes can be smooth, stepped, threaded, or sometimes oblique, designed to facilitate valve installation and ensure correct oil flow paths without interference.
Integration: The valve block serves as both the load-bearing body for hydraulic components and the channel body for oil circuits. It often includes additional accessories such as pipe joints, sealing rings, and process hole blockages to enhance functionality.
